As they have gotten more popular, their consumption has grown tremendously, creating a multibillion-dollar business
Numerous studies have demonstrated that consuming these drinks in moderation has positive impacts since they significantly improve the athletic performance of elite athletes in a variety of sports, including both explosive and endurance events.
But in addition to their ergogenic effects, daily use of energy drinks raises blood pressure and, as a result, causes issues including hypertension, tachycardia, and anxiety, all of which can result in cardiovascular illnesses.
